How to Configure Microsoft Outlook  Print this Article

Please make sure that you have already set up a mail account in your cPanel before configuring Outlook.
 

STEP 1 Open Outlook and click File

STEP 2 Click the Add Account button

STEP 3 Click Manual setup or additional server types, then click next

STEP 4 Select POP or IMAP, then click Next

STEP 5 Enter your name and email address

STEP 6 Select the account type you wish to use. (POP3 or IMAP)

STEP 7 Enter the incoming and outgoing mail servers - "mail.yourdomain.com" (replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name).

STEP 8 Enter your email address into the User Name field and password

STEP 9 Click More Settings and Click the Outgoing Server tab

STEP 10 Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, then click OK

STEP 11 If your ISP blocks the default SMTP port 25 and you cannot send emails but can only receive, change the SMTP (Outgoing) port number to 26.

STEP 12 If the automated test comes back with green check-marks, click FINISH.
