How to Configure Mail Account in Mac Mail Print this Article
Please make sure that you have already created your email account in cPanel before proceeding.
STEP 1
Open Mac Mail
STEP 2
Enter your Full Name, Email Address, and Password. Click Continue
STEP 3
If you receive a Verify Certificate message, simply click Connect
STEP 4
Enter the following information:
- Account Type - IMAP or POP
- Description - (optional)
- Incoming Mail Server - mail.yourdomain.com (replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain)
- User Name - Your full email address (name@yourdomain.com) (replace "name" with actual mail account name and "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain)
- Password - Your email account password
STEP 5
Click Continue
STEP 6
Make the following changes to the Outgoing Mail Server page:
- Outgoing Mail Server = mail.yourdomain.com (replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain)
- Use Authentication = True
- User Name - Your full email address (name@yourdomain.com) (replace "name" with actual mail account name and "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain)
- Password - Your email account password
STEP 7
Click Continue
STEP 8
Review your settings and click Create
